Our In-Tune™ groups cultivate skills of emotional awareness, self-compassion, and relational attunement with self and others. We focus on building the foundations of well-being through healthy habits of self-care and opportunities for authentic connection with peers.
The Center’s skilled team of therapists offer both ongoing In-Tune Groups that meet weekly during the school year, as well as frequent, shorter Group sessions. Here’s what’s coming up:
High-School Girls In Tune: Caring for and Connecting to the Authentic Self
This ongoing mind-body group helps teens align with values, understand emotions, manage stress, balance moods, and cultivate relationships with themselves and others. Participants are actively coached in recognizing and breaking the cycle of the negative inner critic while growing courage, self-compassion, and healthy habits of self-care.
Middle-Schoolers In Tune: Compassion in Action - Tuning into Values, Identities, and Loving Our Whole Selves
This 16-week expressive, experiential, and talk therapy skill-building group is for middle-schoolers, inclusive of cisgender females and transgender students. Our focus is helping participants increase self-compassion, balance moods, and reduce worries. We dive deeply into the shifting terrain of friendships, our complex feelings about social media usage, and how to build a confident self while embracing our differences — all during a developmental period brimming with pressure to assimilate.
Budding Babies In Tune: The Pikler-Guided Approach to Supporting Your Baby's Well-Being Through Their First Year
This group is designed for a caregiver and their baby, ~16 weeks and older.
Staying in tune with a baby on the move can be challenging — especially while taking care of your own postpartum needs! Continue your postpartum journey alongside other caregivers and babies in this 6-week baby and parent clinical In Tune group. In a safe environment arranged with Dr. Emmi Pikler's research and design in mind, we will support the babies' own initiatives, while engaging in mindful observations that support attunement and your confidence as your baby's safe base. This clinical group also addresses prevention and treatment for postpartum mood disorders and "Baby Blues".
BIPOC Professionals In Tune: Decolonizing Our Bodies and Minds
Are you a BIPOC professional in need of restoration? This 5-week therapy group for BIPOC professionals is designed to empower you with tools of self-compassion and self-discovery, and guide you on the path of decolonization.
Infants & Caregivers In Tune: Cultivating Connection, Delight, and Well-Being Through the Pikler Approach
This group is designed for a caregiver and their infant, ~6-16 weeks in age.
Begin your parenting journey in a space of bonding and well-being with our fourth trimester parent-infant group! This 4-session clinical group meets weekly and draws on pediatrician Emmi Pikler’s groundbreaking research on infant competence and care. We focus on attachment, attunement, and caregiving, while also providing parent support that can both prevent and treat postpartum mood disorders and "Baby Blues".
Minds In Tune: A 4-Week Course for Adults to Cultivate a Mindful Presence and Increase Well-Being
How do we meet life’s everyday stressors without feeling overwhelmed by them? In this group we’ll share evidence-based tools and techniques to help you stay grounded and respond more skillfully to situations that arise in daily life. Drawing on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the ancient Yoga Nidra practice of iRest, we aim to foster deep relaxation and restful sleep, improve your mood, and bring more joy and ease to your life.
4th- & 5th-Grade Girls In Tune: Riding the Wave - Coping, Communication, and Confidence Building
This ongoing weekly after-school group is for 4th- and 5th-grade girls (and those who identify as girls). Participants will meet on Tuesdays for 16 weeks. We will use a variety of practices to learn about — and regulate — emotions; manage worries; develop skills for building strong and healthy friendships; and grow authentic connections with ourselves and others.

Join this 7-week baby and parent In Tune group to continue your postpartum journey, staying connected with your baby and growing more confident and competent as a parent. As you and your baby both unfold, this group offers a supportive environment where you can simply be together and continue nourishing the roots of well-being.

This 5-week “tune-in and tune-up” yoga and mindfulness-based group is designed to help high schoolers spring forward with renewed vibrancy and less stress. Participants learn to calm their nervous system in the face of life changes and build a holistic toolbox for self-compassion, coping, and growth — all while making connections with a community of peers.
