JANUARY REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
A weekly after-school group just for 7th- and 8th-grade girls, meeting Tuesdays beginning January 13.
This in-person expressive, experiential, and talk therapy skill-building group is for 7th- and 8th-grade girls, inclusive of cisgender females and transgender students. Together, we focus on strengthening self-compassion, building confidence, and managing worries. During a developmental stage filled with pressure to fit in, this group offers a welcoming and encouraging space where teens can explore who they are and feel supported being themselves.
We also focus on navigating friendships in ways that honor each teen’s values while embracing the differences that make relationships meaningful. Participants will explore their identities — both the parts that feel easy to share and the parts that are more private — to better understand themselves, appreciate the diversity of identities around them, and develop greater self-acceptance. Mind/body skills for nervous system regulation are introduced and practiced weekly in the group. These themes are woven through activities grounded in personal values, helping participants build the foundations they need to feel more confident, reduce stress, and experience deeper, more authentic connections.
Facilitated by: Kate Kelly (MA, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C) and Linda Feldman (E-RYT, RCYT, YACEP)
