FALL REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

A weekly after-school group just for 4th and 5th grade girls, meeting Tuesdays beginning September 23.

This in-person expressive play, art, talk, and activity-based group also integrates mind-body practices (breath work, guided visualization, yoga, qi gong and meditation) to offer participants opportunities to learn about — and regulate — emotions; manage worries; develop skills for building strong and healthy friendships; and grow authentic connections with themselves and others.

  • Facilitated by: Kate Kelly, MA, MSW, LICSW & Liz Liptak, MA, LGPC, RYT-200

  • Dates*: This is an ongoing after-school group that meets once per week on Tuesdays for 11 weeks, beginning September 23, 2025.

  • Time: 4-5 p.m.

  • Place: The Center for Family Well-Being, 5039 Connecticut Ave. NW #7 Washington DC 20008

  • Payment: This is an ongoing 11-week clinical group. New participants are required to pay a deposit of four sessions ($150 x 4), while returning members pay a one-session deposit ($150) to hold their spot. After the group begins, sessions are billed weekly. Our clinical groups are typically reimbursable by PPO health insurance, medical flexible spending, or health savings accounts. Please note that the Center does not contract with insurance companies, but we provide all necessary documentation for clients to submit for reimbursement.

  • Questions and Registration: For questions about the group or payment, please email amy@centerforfamilywellbeing.com or simply fill out the registration form below.

*Thanks for your interest in this group! We typically require at least four registered participants per group in order for it to run as scheduled. If we haven't met this minimum number of participants before a group begins, we may pause or push back the start date. We will always communicate any changes with registered participants. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Intake Care Coordinator Amy Murphy at amy@centerforfamilywellbeing.com.
