High-School Girls In Tune: Caring for and Connecting to the Authentic Self

  • The Center for Family Well-Being 5039 Connecticut Ave NW., #7 Washington, DC 20008 USA (map)

This 15-week ongoing mind-body group is designed just for high-schoolers. Here, we helps teens align with values, understand emotions, manage stress, balance moods, and cultivate relationships with themselves and others. Participants are actively coached in recognizing and breaking the cycle of the negative inner critic while growing courage, self-compassion, and healthy habits of self-care.

Drawing on mindfulness-based tools and practice, gentle yoga, polyvagal theory, art and other expressive tools, teens discover their power for authentic connection to self and others in their peer community.
