Event Details
Join for an inspiring introduction to the rare and hidden Dakini Ear-Whispered Lineage of Chöd within the Geluk tradition, presented by Chöying Khandro. This special event features a brief teaching and a powerful performance from this unique Chöd lineage, as transmitted by the late Ninth Khalkha Jetsun Dampa.
A central part of the event will be the singing of the sacred prayer “The Supplication to Five Dakinis”—a lineage-specific text known for its hauntingly beautiful melodies that have been transmitted for centuries. This prayer invokes deep devotion and inspiration and connects us to the ancient yoginis and yogis who once roamed the mountains and valleys of Tibet, practicing this very supplication. Khandro-la will share insights into the distinct features of this lineage, including how it was preserved from near extinction by His Holiness the 9th Khalkha Jetsun Dampa. She will also explore how contemporary practitioners can relate to and embody the Five Dakinis expressed in this prayer as part of their spiritual path.
The session will conclude with a short Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to ask Khandro-la questions directly.
