Experience

I’m an Associate Holistic Psychotherapist at The Center for Family Well-Being, working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I graduated from Trinity Washington University in 2024 with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Post-graduation, I saw clients at Our Inner Journey, a private practice in DC, where I worked with individuals of all ages, couples, and families.

Therapeutic  Focus

I have substantial experience providing compassionate and trauma-informed care to adults and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship and parenting conflicts. I also have experience working with children and adolescents in processing family trauma, anger management, and helping them learn ways to express themselves.

My clinical interests include mindfulness, addressing and reducing anxiety and depression symptoms, navigating life transitions and relationships, increasing emotional regulation, and self-love.

As a lifelong learner, I continuously seek to gain experience and knowledge as I work towards a certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with plans to become certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Philosophy

I believe the most important aspect in a successful counseling experience is the therapeutic relationship. Building strong rapport and trust is essential for meaningful progress. I focus on integrating mindfulness with traditional practices such as Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); however, I tailor my approach to the client and their needs. My ultimate goal is to empower clients to make the changes they would like to see in their lives and strengthen their self-advocacy.
